What to Expect
One of the more intriguing aspects of collecting football cards is how much demand there is for quarterbacks in particular, with a strong preference from collectors given the importance of the position. Especially modern-day QBs like:
- Patrick Mahomes
- Josh Allen
- Lamar Jackson
- CJ Stroud
- Jordan Love
- Joe Burrow

Keep in mind seasonality will impact the demand for a given set of players, especially come playoff time. At the time of writing, CJ Stroud and Lamar Jackson are everywhere.
In addition to current QBs, it’s no surprise the best Tom Brady rookie cards will appear on the list often. Like MJ, Brady’s cemented status as the greatest of all time means his collectibility is perpetual.
And it’s not just Brady’s best cards that attract eyeballs. Running backs, wide receivers, and other Hall of Fame collector favs. such as Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino are commonplace.
